Batak Unicode Script

The Batak script, also known as surat Batak, surat na sampulu sia ("the nineteen letters"), or si-sia-sia, is the writing system used to represent the Austronesian Batak languages, which are spoken by several million people on the Indonesian island of Sumatra. The writing system may be descended from the Kawi and Pallava scripts, eventually descended from the Brahmi script of India, or descended from the fictitious Proto-Sumatran script influenced by Pallava.
