Tangsa Unicode Script

Tangsa is a newly developed writing system designed specifically for the Tangsa language, spoken primarily in Arunachal Pradesh, India, and parts of Myanmar. Created by Lakhum Mossang in the early 1990s, it's a unique alphabetic script that is genetically unrelated to existing scripts. Tangsa consists of 89 characters, including letters for vowels and consonants, as well as digits. It was designed to accurately represent all the sounds and phonetic distinctions of the Tangsa language. While still relatively new, Tangsa has been gaining popularity among Tangsa speakers, especially in recent years with the increasing use of technology and the internet.
