Buhid Unicode Script

The Buhid language is written using Surat Buhid, an abugida. It was closely linked to Baybayin and Hanuno'o because it was a Brahmic script that was native to the Philippines. The Mangyans, who are primarily found on the island of Mindoro, continue to use it to write Buhid alongside the latin script of the Philippines. An attempt is being made to revive the use of Surat Buhid. The use of Buhid script differs between communities in Northern Buhid (Bansud area) and Southern Buhid (Bongabong).
