Armenian Unicode Script
The Armenian alphabet is an alphabetic writing method used to write Armenian. Mesrop Mashtots, an Armenian linguist and religious figure, created it around 405 AD. But the oldest still surviving manuscripts in Armenian written in Armenian script are from the ninth or tenth centuries. 36 letters were initially used in the system; ultimately, three more were added. Around the 18th and 19th centuries, the Ottoman Empire also made extensive use of the script.
