Ahom Unicode Script

The Ahom script is an ancient writing system used primarily for the Ahom language, which was spoken by the Ahom people in what is now Assam, India. It is an abugida, where each character represents a consonant with an inherent vowel sound that can be modified with diacritics to indicate different vowels. The script was used mainly for writing religious and historical texts. Unicode support for Ahom is included to help preserve and digitally access these historical documents.
